FAQ
Our aluminium wire is available in diameters ranging from 0.80 mm to 30.00 mm, based on round cross-sections. For non-round dimensions, such as flat or profile wire, this depends, among other things, on the height-to-width ratio and is assessed individually by us for each enquiry.
In any case, we manufacture exactly according to the agreed specifications. Thanks to state-of-the-art production technology, we guarantee precise dimensions, tight tolerances, stable wire quality and perfect adaptation to your technical requirements.
Aluminium wire has a number of technical advantages over copper or steel. This applies both technically and economically. First of all, the specific density of aluminium is only 2.71 g/cm³. This means that copper and steel are a good three times heavier than the lightweight construction material aluminium. Aluminium therefore enables energy- and cost-saving designs, for example in vehicle construction, with significant weight reduction and thus increased range.
Furthermore, aluminium has good electrical and thermal conductivity combined with high ductility. Another advantage is aluminium's natural corrosion resistance compared to copper and steel.

Heat treatment is of central importance for aluminium because many important properties of aluminium alloys can only be adjusted or significantly improved through targeted thermal processes. This applies, for example, to increasing strength through precipitation hardening (in the case of hardenable alloys, the T-tempers), targeted stress relief or formability.
