Due to their very tight manufacturing tolerances, our drawn aluminium bars offer significant advantages over extruded bars. Our range includes the manufacture of round bars and profile bars:
Round bars

- Chamfered on one or both sides on request
Profiled bars
- Shape according to your requirements
- With a maximum cross-sectional area of 300 mm2
- Depending on the cross-section, up to a maximum height-to-side ratio of 1:2

Aluminium bars are the ideal choice when a material is required that offers high strength and low weight – for example, in machining, in the manufacture of precision turned-parts or in bending and forming technology.
At the Elisental wire factory, we manufacture aluminium bars from standard formats to customised designs with a diameter of 3.00 to 20.00 mm and a maximum length of 4 m. Each bar is drawn, straightened and chamfered on request.
We offer numerous aluminium alloys from material groups 1 to 8 as standard, but also individual and virtually unlimited possibilities beyond that. Thanks to our own alloy development in our joint venture in northern Spain and strict quality controls, we can tailor physical properties, dimensions and surface finishes precisely to your requirements. We are happy to assist you and provide detailed advice based on your requirements and the countless solutions for the perfect aluminium bars.
FAQ
We manufacture our aluminium bars in diameters ranging from 3.00 to 22.00 mm and in lengths up to 4,000 mm (standard 3,000 mm). Each bar is drawn and then straightened. We can chamfer the ends on request.
Basically, yes. Since we first draw the wire and then straighten it, it is much easier than in other manufacturing processes to implement individual diameter requirements. It is important to us that we act as your technology partner, which means that we are also able to develop alloys through our joint venture, Esal Rod Alloys, S.A. in Spain. This means that we can jointly discuss and plan adjustments or new developments for special applications.
Aluminium is generally corrosion-resistant in normal everyday use. The oxide layer protects the metal underneath. However, there are limitations. The environment and the alloy play a decisive role. Materials in the 1000, 5000 and 3000 groups are considered to be more advantageous, while those in the 2000 and 7000 groups are more susceptible to stress corrosion cracking, for example. We would be happy to advise you.
